How does the session work?

The Feldenkrais practitioner, using his or her hands and a gentle, non-invasive touch, guides the student in exploring new movement patterns. Or simply help them refine pre-existing movements.

The student can lie comfortably on a table, sitting or standing. Supports such as cushions, rollers, mats, and foam can be used to facilitate the learning process.

The Feldenkrais practitioner's manipulations reflect back to the student the way he or she organizes his or her body and actions. By using skilled and gentle hands, the practitioner establishes a sense of safety and a supportive relationship. By cooperating with the unconscious mind, new possibilities for movement can be formed in small steps.
