Pia Appelquist – Assistant

Pia Appelquist graduated from Myriam Pfeffer’s training program in Paris in 2010, and became a certified Feldenkrais assistant trainer in 2019.

She is of Danish nationality but has lived and worked in France since 1990. Pia studied anthropology and then pursued a career as a professional actress, before dedicating herself fully to the Feldenkrais Method.

She is co-founder of the Beliashe Institute – Center for Arts and Human Potential, in Aurillac. For more than 30 years, she has been researching and developing a working method to enrich stage language through movement, for professional actors. She initiated and actively participated in innovative art education work in schools and universities, and assisted several groups of adults and children in different learning processes. Pia has an active Feldenkrais practice with students and clients from all walks of life. She works with children with special needs, and is also a certified Pain Reprocessing Therapist. She organizes and assists professional training programs in the Feldenkrais Method in Europe, Asia and USA.
