Deborah Bowes – Trainer
Deborah completed her Feldenkrais training in 1987 and has been a Certified Feldenkrais Trainer since 1999. She teaches in international training programs preparing the next generation of practitioners.
She is a graduate of Columbia University in Physical Therapy, and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Physical Education from Rhode Island College.
Deborah co-founded the Feldenkrais Center for Movement and Awareness with Julie Casson Rubin in San Francisco in 1988.
Deborah has practiced and studied mind-body medicine approaches for over 40 years.
She has presented lectures and trainings at: She has been involved with the St. Francis Hospital Women Physicians group, the Pacific Business Group on Health, SF State’s Holistic Health Program and the International Conference on Rheumatology.
She has created and registered specialized Feldenkrais programs, which address chronic pain (Discover Easy Movement & Pain Relief) and pelvic floor issues (Pelvic Health & Awareness).
