Giulia Gussago

Throughout her career, Giulia Gussago has developed a deep interest in promoting artistic and movement-based activities in unconventional settings. Through Compagnia Lyria, she has curated various initiatives, including Progetto DanzAbile and Progetto Verziano.
• Progetto DanzAbile is dedicated to integration through the arts for young people and adults with physical, mental, and sensory disabilities. The initiative includes workshops, performances, jam sessions, research activities, seminars, and conferences aimed at spreading knowledge and practice of innovative, flexible, and effective methods to foster genuine creative exchanges between people with different abilities.
• Progetto Verziano is carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and the Verziano Prison in Brescia. It involves annual workshops engaging inmates, free citizens, and students from various schools. The project culminates in public performances, meetings, video productions, and conferences. It aims to raise awareness about the integration between prison life and civil society, using cultural and artistic practices as inclusive tools.
Since 2018, Giulia Gussago has incorporated the teaching of the Feldenkrais® Method into Progetto Verziano, which has been included among the educational and rehabilitative initiatives promoted by the prison administration.
