Eilat Almagor – Trainer
Eilat Almagor, a 1983 graduate of Moshe Feldenkrais’ training in Amherst, is an international trainer of the Feldenkrais Method. She holds a Ph.D. in Neurobiology, an M.S. in Environmental Science and a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics. In recent years, Eilat has led a project to integrate Feldenkrais classes into schools and has collaborated with neuroscientists in Israel and Germany in scientific research to study the effects of the Feldenkrais Method on brain activity.
She teaches, with Professor Dorit Aharonov, an experimental course at the School of Computer Science at the University of Jerusalem. The course combines theoretical computer courses with movement courses in the Feldenkrais Method. This learning method is unconventional at the university, and the course contains exercises that allow for introspection in the learning process itself.
