François Combeau

A Feldenkrais practitioner and trainer for many years (practitioner since 1987 and trainer since March 2008), François Combeau has extensive experience teaching “PCM” (Prise de Conscience par le Mouvement), whether in weekly classes and cycles or in numerous seminars in Paris, across France, and abroad. He has worked with all kinds of audiences, both amateurs and professionals, in artistic and sports environments, as well as with individuals seeking to regain better health and develop greater physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
For 30 years, he has also given IFs (Functional Integration sessions)—around 20 per week—to very diverse audiences, whether for personal development and improving sporting, artistic, relational, or intellectual capacities, or for recovery after life accidents, physical or neurological traumas, burnout, or psychological difficulties.
As an assistant trainer, he has participated in numerous training programs in France and abroad, particularly in Paris (M. Pfeffer), Liège (Y. Joly), Bad Wiesheim (M. Reese), and Chicago (A. Baniel), with these trainers being his “mentors.”
He also regularly leads post-training programs in France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and the USA (Detroit), and he aims above all to share his vast experience and the results of the pedagogical research he has developed over many years and teaching situations.
A pedagogue of movement and voice, François followed, before and after his Feldenkrais training in Paris with M. Pfeffer, G. Yaron, Ch. Chelav, R. Alon, A. Baniel, J. Karzen, a personal and professional journey involving dance, mime, various “relaxation” techniques, the application of principles from Chinese medicine, Taoist yoga, Zen, and learning different bodily balances and sources of strength, which are the foundations of martial arts.
In parallel, he also trained as a singer and speech therapist, which led him to work in hospital settings with individuals who had suffered cranial trauma and strokes.
Thirty years ago, he created a practice and training center in Paris: Espace du Temps Présent.
