Yvo Mentens

Yvo took his first Feldenkrais course over 30 years ago and graduated from the professional Feldenkrais training program under Myriam Pfeffer. He continued his studies with Moshe Feldenkrais’s first assistants and students. A certified Feldenkrais Trainer and co-founder of Feldenkrais Education, Yvo teaches in professional Feldenkrais training programs in Europe, Asia, and the United States. He served as an active member of the European Feldenkrais organization (ETC) and as vice-president of the International Feldenkrais Federation (IFF).
Yvo holds master’s degrees in Criminology and Sociology and is trained as a Client-Centered, Pain Reprocessing, and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapist. His diverse professional experience includes working in prisons, dojos, theatre or creative think tanks, therapeutic settings, professional training environments, and his ongoing private practice. Yvo has created and directed numerous theater productions and served as a professor of physical theater and Feldenkrais at several national institutions, including the Paris National Conservatory, the Stanislavsky Conservatory in Moscow, and Dibrugarh University in India.
